How can I handle missed checkouts automatically as an admin?

To avoid timesheet gaps when a worker forgets to check out, you can enable the auto-checkout setting. This ensures shifts are closed automatically after a period of time, keeping records accurate without manual intervention.
You can configure the system to handle missed checkouts automatically via settings:

Step 1: To access ‘Settings,‘ Select your profile in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. Select ‘Account’ to view general settings.

Step 2: Select “Settings” to view your available “General Settings”.
Step 3: In General Settings, scroll down to view Auto Checkout Settings, where you can enable checkout and notification prompts.

- Reminder after shift ends: Sends a notification to all workers after a specified time (in minutes) at the end of their shifts, prompting them to check out.
- Extra time before auto-checkout: Defines how long the system should wait before automatically checking out a worker if they haven’t manually done the check-out/sign-off through the Swift Checkin mobile app.
- Longest we keep you checked in:Sets the maximum number of hours a worker can remain checked in, ensuring automatic checkout after this limit.
Auto Checkout Settings help streamline shift management by ensuring workers are reminded to check out, providing a buffer before automatic checkout, and enforcing a maximum check-in duration. These settings minimize manual oversight, prevent overworked hours, and maintain accurate time records automatically.
